Venue Downloads

Below, you will find the venues that I have created. It is very easy to catch fish at most of them. That is probably because of a mixture of inexperience in venue creating, a desire not to make them too difficult, and the fact that new baits have since been introduced that are much more effective than those that were available when I created some of these venues. Having said all that, I still like to go back and fish these venues occasionally.

Aarons Lake

This is an imaginary (NOT fantasy) venue that I have created just for pleasure fishing (or maybe an occasional match). While it is fairly easy to catch the smaller fish on any day of the year, the larger specimens should provide quite a challenge (if I have got it right).

Bad Boy Pond

This is a moderately easy venue containing a good mix of Bream, Carp, Crucians, Perch, Roach, Rudd and tench.

There are five pegs to fish, and each has its own characteristics. I hope that you enjoy it.

Boot Lake

Another moderately easy venue, of ten pegs.

There are good stocks of Bream, Roach and Tench, plus a number of Perch and Pike, and just a few Carp.

Very large specimen Bream & Tench will be caught here.

River Lea - Enfield Lock

A single peg on the River Lea which contains Bleak, Bream, Carp, Chub, Dace, Perch, Pike and Roach.

I think that this may well be the most difficult venue that I have so far created. The newcomer to FishSim2 may find it preferable to try one of my easier venues.

Forty Hall

This really is an easy venue, more suited to the newcomer to FishSim 2.

The ten pegs contain loads of Carp that are easy to catch, along with Crucians, Eels, Perch, Pike, Roach, Rudd and Tench.

Grovelands Park Lake

A venue of seven pegs which is more challenging than my other venues.

There are carp to over 40 lb, along with bream, perch, roach and tench. Large perch weighing upto 5 lb, live here, but catching them is another matter.

Lake Supreme

Another easy venue.

There are twelve pegs containing Bream, Carp, Crucians, Eels, Perch, Pike, Roach, Rudd, Tench, and a very few Catfish.

Normans Fishery

This a a five peg venue. It is very well stocked with Carp. No other species are stocked at this venue.

It is ridiculously easy to catch carp here. If you can't catch Carp here, you are doing something wrong.

Picks Cottage Farm Lakes

This venue has been created specifically for Fishsim2 version 2.11f or later. It will not run correctly in earlier versions.

The venue contains carp, eels, perch, roach, rudd and tench. While the smaller fish may be caught fairly easily, the larger specimens may prove to be more elusive.

Southend Farm - Dillons Lake

Southend Farm has four lakes. This is a commercial fishery that, because I can park my car at the water's edge, I can still fish (in good weather LOL). There are carp in here up to about 20 lbs but, although I have managed to fish this lake a number of times during the year and caught a lot of carp, I still haven't caught any over about 3 lb. I have tried to create this venue as close to the real venue as possible. If you find that certain baits attract loads of gudgeon, then that is exactly what happens in this lake.

The Drain

AHA!! A not-so-easy venue. There is only one peg which contains Bleak, Chub, Dace, Perch and Roach.

You need to be using correct tactics, and to be patient, to catch at this venue.

Wake Valley Pond

A pond, located in Epping Forest, that has some very deep holes. Mainly a roach water, but also contains carp, perch, rudd, tench, crucians, and an occasional catfish.

For those that like a challenge, I suggest trying to catch a pike.

Venues Detail Viewer (VDV)

The Venues Detail Viewer allows you to select any peg from any venue that you have got installed in FS2, and see an image of the peg, a list of the species in that peg, and the maximumsize of each species in the selected peg.

You can instantly get these details for any peg on any venue (that you have installed).
